Dear Sarah,
Unfortunately
as you now bash President George Bush you and John McCain have forgotten 30% of us still support President Bush not to mention
we are also your conservative base.
Us 30% that support President Bush understand there are no magic wands
and we understand President Bush increased the debt almost $4 trillion dollars but President Clinton raised it $1.6 trillion
dollars with no war, no tax break and a booming dot.com economy.
Us 30% understand under George Bush the USA GNP grew almost 3 trillion
dollars and the world economy grew at its fast rate ever. We understand tax revenues grew an incredible 20% and there were
17 million new home owners. We also understand the misery rate (unemployment + inflation) averaged an incredible low 8.1%
under President Bush. Now was it perfect of course not as energy prices spiked and the Democrats cultivated the sub-prime
crisis.
Us
30% understand changing the Middle East who has been hating the west for 1500 years was not going to be easy. We understand
most of the experts predicated the USA would lose 10,000 troops taking Baghdad for the 12 years after Iraq 1 claiming it was
a good thing we did not go into Iraq during the first war. We also watched the Russians lose 17,000 troops in Afghanistan
and 15,000 in Chechnya. Personally I expected 15,000 lost between Iraq and Afghanistan so I thank President Bush everyday
that did not occur.
Let us also not forget there have been no major terrorist attacks any where in the world since 911.
Sure we understand
President Bush was not perfect but we also understand he does not own a magic wand either.
You and John McCain fell
for the same trap the Democrats and Liberal press set for Middle America by demonizing President Bush. Ironically these are
the same people that demonized you and John McCain but instead of fighting back you joined the Democrats and Liberal press
in on the demonizing of President George Bush alienating the 30% of us who are your Conservative base.
Shame on
you!
Sincerely,
